Vegas...

Unfortunately, our trek to the Party Rock Open 50K in Vegas started out on a bad note.  It never is good to feel "ripped off" by an airline, but when they charge more for luggage then the airline ticket, you can't help it.  A website so misleading, there should be a multitude of complaints and lawsuits.
ANYWAY......

We made our way to the RIO for "free" stay.  What a beautiful view of the strip we were lucky to have and a great suite.

On Monday, we made our way to the tennis courts for practice and to await the posting of the doubles draw.  Due to the family wedding in Chicago, Natalie was planning on only playing doubles here as a warm up for the upcoming tournaments.  And to work on her dubs ranking.

Well, another bad note!  Not only did Natalie and Jackie not get a wild card, but neither did some other VERY deserving double teams.  A decision that "reeked" of fish.

After much convincing by me and others, Natalie decided to attend the player's party at the Cosmo.  I'm very happy to say that the tournament director had a bit of a heart to heart with Natalie and she was feeling much better.  Much to her surprise she had a great time....evident in pic below.....

Natalie, RedFu (LMFAO) and Allie.....having fun at players party.....RedFu was the host!

We were able to stop by the Pawn Shop that is featured on the hit TV series.  What a tiny little shop, was very surprising how tiny.  We decided that the TV film crew, def works the camera angles.  Glad we stumbled onto it, fun fun fun.

While here we, we had a great time catching up with a former Lady Vol....Blakeley and our new friend from our visit here in the spring Rob.  Natalie was going to play an event for them this weekend, but we are now leaving earlier and she won't be able to do so.  Yet another "bad note"  UGH!

Blakeley, Rob and Natalie had a great practice with their VERY good team.  Natalie being able to practice with them and others this week has been the silver lining for sure.  So, Vegas has not been a total "bad song"....only a few "bad notes".

We are hoping DELTA is good to us today.  Natalie tried to go "stand by" yesterday, that didn't work.  So we will be back at it today.  Homeward Bound to try a new song!  Sweet Home Alabama next week!  The Troy 25K....here we come.......la la la la la

so the fall journey begins.....

We started our journey driving to Chicago for Christina and Doug's wedding.  Natalie and I flew onto Vegas, while Nana and Ed drove back home.

Cloudy Day Update

Good Morning on a Cloudy Day!

Well, been at home for over a week, can't believe it!  Actually starting to feel normal again, amazing how travel tires you.

Natalie is spending the next couple of weeks training with Jason here in Atlanta.  She is loving it, he is challenging her everyday, which has renewed her.  She is very excited to be on the court training for her next tourney in Vegas the week of the 23rd of September.

We continue our quest for sponsorships, so please pass on the info to anyone that may be interested in helping to support Natalie's efforts.  And thanks for your continued support!

Love and Blessings!  Sherry
