"Just Breathe"

I think it was Faith Hill, who sang a song with the line...."just breathe".  Well, that's what I'm gunna try to do before heading out to our peach stand.  Take a breath and write a long overdue blog entry.

Happy to say the Pluskota clan had more than a couple of hours to spend with Natalie.  We had to accomplish much in those hours however.  After spending the day at the Jeep Crawlin event with lil Ed, we headed to the airport.  Picked up our gal and then went out for a much needed dinner.  Spent much of the time getting updates about the NCAA tourney and our friends & enemies (figuratively).  We were sooo sadden that the biker gangs picked Waco, Texas for their battle.  Not only was that town filled with our Nation's top NCAA athletes and coaches.  But we have many friends that live there.  Happy to say all were and are safe.  Also, happy to CONGRATULATE....the Vandy Ladies on their team title.  A prediction Natalie made at the Round of 16 point.

Anyway, I digressed....I mean I was talking bout Natalie wasn't I??  LOL!

We had three days to get in three doctor appointments, shopping for the summer, business meetings and of course family and friend's time.  It was a world wind for sure, but we got it done....as usual.   Was nice visiting her and going to see the movie Pitch Perfect II.  Something we have waited for.  Many thanks to Lil Ed for taking me and Nat as one of my Mother's Day gifts.  We enjoyed it!

Wednesday morning, I dropped Natalie at the airport and awaaaayyyyy she went.  I equate this summer adventure to that of a college student who graduates and spends the summer touring Europe.  A total adventure indeed.  And she is proving me correct.  The club that she is coaching at, is amazing.  She has some awesome clients and co workers.  And yesterday, she was very excited when her last client of the day, offered to take her and her two co workers out for dinner.  The cherry to the cake of her day.

Besides the fact that it is "freezing" (in 70s) up there, our gal seems to be settling in just fine.  I can't wait to hear all the Hampton summer stories.  Most of which, I probably will not be able to blog bout....butttttt I sure can listen to them.  LOL!   Sorry!

Time for me to head to the peach stand.  Hope you enjoy a lil view of the Jeep Craw via my lens!  Love and Blessings....Sherry!

Bittersweet Pill

Was sooo very excited to see that we are nearing the 40,000 views mark.  Thank you so much in your interest and support in Natalie.  We consider those views a "wink" that we are doing the right thing here on our blog.  THANK YOU!

This past weekend Natalie, Coach Chris and Coach Courtney coached their team to victory.  The first round of the NCAAs team competition was played on Saturday.  The OSU Cowgirls took on Boston College and moved on to the Round of 32 with a 4-3 win.  On Sunday, the gals played ASU a tough foe.  Coached by a legend of a player and coach.....as well as friend of ours....Sheila McInerney.  The Cowgirls lost the dubs point, then went down the first set on several courts in singles.  But I guess, the goal set at the beginning of the year to head to the Round of 16, rang in their heads.  Cuz they turned it on and went on to victory.  And are now, for the first time in many years heading to the Round of 16.  Which will be in Waco, Texas.

A bit of a bittersweet pill for the Pluskota family.  We haven't seen our gal since January, when she left us in a cloud of dust and unsettled feelings.  So, instead of her coming home today, she will head to Waco this week and hopefully help coach the team to continued victories.  Hopefully, we will get to see her for an hour or two before she heads to the Hamptons.  Def won't hold our breath!

As for the Cowgirls, they will face the University of Florida in the Round of 16.  A very tough foe indeed.  Natalie will be excited to see Brook and the other Lady Gators and their coaches.  But she, Chris and Courtney will have their work cut out for them and their coaching abilities.  The Cowgirls will have to rise to the occasion which they are fully capable of doing.  Should be a great match of great tennis.

As for me, gearing up for peach selling season.  Almost hard to believe it will start next week.  Can't wait to pig out on some of the best peaches in Georgia.  Hopefully, the harvest will plentiful for I need a car and two air conditioning units for the house.  Sure would be easier if I had a full time job, which of course I can't obtain as long as our Nana lives with us.  Must say, I will sell peaches 24x7 if that means my mom continues to be well enough to live with us.

Busy

Morning from a busy spring cleaning fool.  What was supposed to be the painting of my bedroom, turned into....painting bedroom, carpet cleaning of said bedroom, hall and dining room...reorganizating of old photos & items waiting scrapbooking...the hunt for 3 matching curtain rods of various sizes....the purchase of said rods and new sheers...the hanging of said items...AAAANNNNNDDDDD now putting my rooms back together.  Must say its all looking good and deep cleaned.  Something that doesn't get done often when we are on the road.

As for Natalie...she too has been a busy bee.  The team fell in the Semis of Conference play and then headed back to campus.  Where the Cowgirls have been training hard for the upcoming NCAA tourney.  For the first time in OSU's history, they will host the first two rounds.  Exciting indeed!  So, our gal has been working on the plans for the tournament.  Busy indeed.

Natalie and her coworker Courtney, took time out of their busy schedule to help raise funds for St. Jude.  They ran in the Warrior Dash.  For anyone that is unfamiliar,  the Dash is an obstacle course, Navy Seal style...if you will.  They had a blast!  Here is a pic of them at the finish line:

Nats been working hard on the court too.  She is happy with her personal progress. She will be coming home in the next couple of weeks and is looking forward to Tab working on the scar tissue.  I know....she's weird that way.  I mean who wants to go to the chamber of pain known as physical therapy??  A pro athlete willing to do what it takes, that's who!  Lol!

We continue to look forward to our upcoming visit with Natalie.  Until then it's back to cleaning....yea me!  Love and Blessings....Sherry!
