NCAAs

Greeting from a beautiful weather day in Georgia!  Windows are open and breeze is blowing.  I would imagine that San Diego weather is like this all year round.  Amazing!

Last weekend put the dreams of a Big 12 crown to rest for the Cowgirls.  Having lost to Texas Tech in the semifinals.  My understanding, too many unforced errors.....as in over 200 collectively.  Those errors and the overall strength of the Tech players, was too much for the Cowgirls.  Hopefully, a wake up call prior to the NCAA Tournament.

Speaking of.....today is Selection Day.  The excitement fills the air as all the schools wait and watch in anticipation of the draw.  Due to their team ranking, the Cowgirls should host this year.  The new rankings will come out today, just prior to the selection show.  Unfortunately, losing in the semis may bite the Cowgirls in the saddle.  For, it might make their draw a lil tougher.  Time will tell.

Natalie has been busy packing boxes to ship home.  Helping the other staff members make plans for NCAAs.  As well as, reaching out to sponsors for her return to the courts in the fall.  Hopefully, we will find a few business owners will to put a few dollars into her future.  It would be sooo awesome for Nat to be able to solely focus on tennis and not how to afford to attend the next tourney.

As for me, well I sprained my ankle walking the dog two weeks ago.  Right in the middle of  my bedroom remodel.  So, instead of having my carpets done last, had em done yesterday.  What a project and pain in the neck....or should I say foot.  Hopefully, everything will be put back together by the week's end.

Soooo long for now....Love and Blessings....Sherry!

"Stop"

Good Morning from a very wet Georgia!  Prolly one of the wettest spring's ever.  Nice that the pollen is being washed from the air, but more will come after the rain.  Hopefully, our peach crops will be awesome again this year.  Our pocketbook is counting on it.

Spoke to Natalie a few days ago.  She, Coach Chris and the team were readying themselves for travel.  They loaded up the rock and roll bus and headed south to Waco, Texas.  Baylor is the host of the Big 12 Conference Tournament.  Yesterday, OSU played Kansas State and won rather easily.  Today, the Cowgirls are looking for a win over Texas Tech.  A team they lost to, early in the season.

Soon our gal will be coming home.  The question....will that "stop" at home be for a day, week or weeks.  Would be nice if it were for at least a week.  For we have things we need to handle and need a lil time to do so.  Not to mention the need for some private family time.

Back to the cleaning, for the carpet cleaning folks are coming Monday.  I think the boys would prefer me being back on the road with Natalie.....lol.....I clean = them having to clean.   Love and Blessings....Sherry!

I'mmmmm Bbbaaaacckkkk!

Sooooooooo.....let me try to catch you up!  Been a busy couple of weeks.  First and foremost, Natalie's rehab is going really well.  A lil over a week ago she sent the following video of her workout.  She was and is feeling good about her progress.

Spent many hours, days and weeks helping lil Ed purchase a car.  Because my car had to be towed and repaired several times in the last two months, we decided to let him buy it and trade it in on his new car.  I mean the stupid German made thing even broke down on the way to be traded in.  Soooo frustrating to spending thousands on a car with 125K miles and it breaks down.  What a lemon!  Sorry, I digressed.  Ed finally picked out and up his Accord.  Which I might add, he and I broke in on a lil jaunt during his spring break.

We were going to go see Natalie in Oklahoma for Easter.  But that got spoiled by her other plans.  So we said, forget it let's go to the beach.  So we started at the Gulf Coast and were going to make our way to Miami and the Keys.  But then Kentucky lost in the Final Four.  Which meant tickets for the Finals would be plentiful.  Ed was able to secure tickets for $100 and we were off to Indy.  Drove all night, stopped for a four hour nap and we were off to the game.   What a game it was,  happy to say Ed's favorite team.....Duke....won it!  We stayed in Indy to visit with family, then went to Louisville.  Where we visited with Ed's BFF from college Joe and my nephew Frankie.  We really enjoyed seeing Teenie, Doug, Savannah and Becky while in Indy too.

My great niece Savannah Jane!

Say CHEESE......I think she nailed it!

Well, Natalie's stint at Oklahoma is nearing its end.  With just a couple of weeks left in the regular and division seasons.  Soon it will be tourney time.  Hopefully, the Cowgirls will host the first couple of rounds.  Which is a good possibility since they are currently ranked #9.  The final rounds will be at Baylor in Waco, Texas.  After which she will return home.  Kind of a double edged sword, the better the Cowgirls do at the tourney the less time our family gets to see Nat.  For she will head to the Hamptons for the summer.

Beside the entire OK visit idea thing the only other mistake I made .....well during that few days period .....was waking up on Sunday thinking I (along with my helper mice) should empty out my bedroom.  That way it could be painted while I was gone.....oooo Lawdy it got done.  But now I need to get the carpet cleaned before I (we) can put it back together.  Until then, all visitors should be on notice that my living room and dining room are filled with my bedroom items.  UGH....mistake indeed!  LOL!

Well, time to get to work, make it a great day peeps!  Love and Blessings.....Sherry!
