Humbled!

THANK YOU!  The Pluskotas are very humbled by the wonderful friends and community that made  Natalie's Pro Career Kick Off Event so amazing today.  The early morning rain kept some away for sure, but it cleared and the fun was on.  The kids and Natalie really enjoy the free clinics.  Liz won the giant signed tennis ball and Jake won the framed signed poster.

The older kids and the adults rolled in for the Round Robin.  Man was there was alot of trash talking out on those courts.  After a few rounds, we took a break for lunch and to watch folks try to beat the pro.  Not sure who was having more fun the ones challenging Natalie or Nat herself.  The crowd was loving it that was for sure.

Then back to the Round Robin and more trashing talking.  Soooo fun!

The silent auction went on for the day and since the winners have been notified or will be soon.

We can't thank everyone enough times for your continued support of Natalie and our family.  Many of you know that we have volunteered many hours over many years to help others.  Haven't been on the other end of that until today......A VERY HUMBLING experience!  THANK YOU ALL SOOOOO VERY MUCH!  Words can not express it properly, please know that every time Natalie steps out onto that court.....she takes a little piece of each and everyone of you with her!  For it really does take a village to raise a child!

A Great Morning...

Well, was just toooo tired last night to update the blog....sorry folks!

Natalie and Jackie played the team of Glushkko (ISR) and Rogwska (AUS), who were ranked #429 as a team.  Natalie and Jackie were ranked #1374 as a team.

The final started out rocky for us.  Went down 1-5, before battling to bring it to 4-5 and then we lost the set.  Not out of the lack of trying that is for sure.

We focused the second set and went up 5-2, when they battled to bring it to 5-4.  We won the second 7-5.  Wew....lots of tennis!

Playing the tie breaker in lieu of a third set isn't anyones favorite, but that is what they do.  Went up in the breaker 2-0.  And just battled from there to 7 all.  The opponents had two great points in a row to finish the match.  Natalie and Jackie lost, but what a great effort!

Soooo very proud of Natalie and Jackie....great tournament ladies....Congrats!

Today....Natalie will attempt the Grouse Grind.  I will tram to the top this time.  Then a drive back to Seattle to catch our redeye home.

We are going to the "SHIP"!

Natalie and Jackie won today.  Score: 3-6, 6-3, 10-8.  They beat the #3 seeded team of Pegula and Townsend.  Our team went down 1-4 in the breaker and battled back to win it!  Great Success!  Don't you just love when the qualifier team gets to the finals....I do!  LOVE IT!

The played on the center court which was pretty neat.  They were clocking the serves and posted them. Natalie's were topping 108 mph.  She was exciting to see the speed results....offically.   What a fun experience.

They will play 5th on tomorrow....which is 4-5ish P.T.

Well, we had a bit of the "luck" today.  Natalie and Jackie began the match against the #1 seeded team. Actually went down 2-1, then up 3-2.  When the opponents asked for the trainer and moments later retired the match.  We really think one of them may have had a fight booked.  But who cares....Semi Finals......here we come!  We will take the win, the ranking points and the paycheck!  Let's do this Natalie and Jackie!
