After much drama....it was over....

Singles started at noon almost on the dot.  And two and half hours later and much drama it was over.  The drama came from the lack of experience of the chair umpire.  Kudos to both players, Natalie and Nika both took the "high" road.  It was awesome to see these two young ladies conduct themselves with truth and honesty.....sometimes not always the case in the heat of battle.  Both players found themselves correcting the chair umpire's calls....in favor of their opponent.  It was the craziest thing ever.  Natalie finally requested that the supervisor be summoned to the court.  Thank goodness they were playing on clay and the players were able to prove their case for their opponent easily.

Unfortunately, the match was affected by all the drama.  Both players frustrated and couldn't focus on the tennis ball and their game plans.  Which doesn't make for a good match.  Altho Natalie came out on top, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2....both players were winners in life.  Standing tall on their convictions of truth and honesty.  Congrats to both Natalie and Nika for standing tall!

An hour and half after singles, Natalie and Emily took to the dubs court.  Seeded #1 we took an early lead winning the first 6-4.  The second set went a lil faster with "our team" taking a 5-0 lead.  Then lost two in a row, 5-2.  Em served for the set and match and "our team" was victorious.

Natalie has tomorrow off, and will just practice.  She will play singles on Thursday, verses the winner of the match of Elizabeth Fourer (CAN) (618) OR Andrea Benetz (ARG) (713) a qualifier.    "Our team" will play dubs vs. Jan Abaz (USA) and Nicole Robinson (USA), tourney ranked 1353.   "Our team" is tourney ranked 638....and #1 seeds.

Until next time.....Love and Blessings....Sherry
