First, our thoughts and prayers are for those families who lost someone on that horrible day twelve years ago. May they find peace in our Lord! God Bless America!
Our team started the first set on serve until it was 2-3, then fell behind to 2-5. Then 3-5, and eventually losing the set in a game they were up 30-15. They had plenty of chances in the first, according to Natalie.
Started the second set down 0-1, by losing serve. Then broke back to tie it to one all. Pushing forward our team went up 4-1. Then 4-2, 5-2 and we won the set in easy fashion. Playing a breaker in lieu of a third set, "we" went down 1-7 in record speed. Soon it was 3-9, 4-9, 5-9 before losing breaker and match 5-10.
Spoke to Natalie via Facebook minutes after the match ended. Needless to say she was not a happy camper. I'm sure I will get all the details upon her return tomorrow. She will be glad to be in Georgia and the warm weather and I'm sure hungry for her favorite foods.
Gearing up on the practice courts, so that she can get back to business on the ITF tourney court. Natalie will head to the 50K in Las Vegas on the 20th of the month. Redfoo is the sponsor and host of this tourney, so always a "part taaa" type of atmosphere. He loves the sport of tennis and great support of the ladies. This trip will also allow us to reconnect with one of Natalie's host moms Juliet. Juliet has a wonderful spirit and smile. We look forward to spending time with her!
Well, back to the projects here at home....must say I am getting much done on this down time. Love and Blessings.....Sherry!
