Trust Me, I Won't Hold My Breath

Sooooo, here I sit for the third or maybe the fourth early morning in a row.  Thoughts flowing at the failures, tears trying to make sense of the last few days.  Ticked off at the outside influences.  People who THINK they know Natalie, me or our family.  Passing judgements, trying to influence for their own benefit.  Which of course IS NOT in Nat's best interest.  They are not welcomed here any longer!

Good news for Natalie at PT yesterday.  After two weeks of walking two miles at a fast pace, she began to run.  She mixed in five one minute runs into her walking routine today.  A bit nerve racking for her, a test of her confidence.  But a huge mile stone for rehab.  Unfortunately, it was her last visit with the best PT in the nation.....Tab.

Back in December, Natalie and I met and she laid out her plan for the next year.  Of course, some of which hitched on the recovery of her foot.  But the loosely plan of action WAS to be:   continue rehab,  begin on court training, begin to play doubles only early spring, hopefully be hired for the New York thing for the summer, continue dubs play during summer and full time again in the fall.  Then in the fall she would decide to go back to playing singles or not.

From that conversation forward, plans were being made.  Physical therapy booked, her teaching lessons booked, appearances booked, appointments booked, flights booked, training coaches booked, sponsors contacted, fundraising planned.  All of which, along with the last two and half years.....thrown out the window a few days ago.   And for what, a Community Coaching Job!

Seems our gal has decided to move to the west tomorrow, yes tomorrow Friday.  As I know and you know, Natalie will do a fantastic job at this meager adventure, however it is NOT a good decision in my eyes.  But hey....what the hell do I know.  And of course those outsiders are no where to be found to cancel or plan all of those things involved, cuz that's not in their best interest.  But they sure have a lot to say bout something they know very little about.

And NO, I can't find any positives in this situation at the present time.  I've been up three straight nights, searching for them.  For anyone that knows me knows that I always can find the positives.  As I told Natalie, I can count on less then one hand how many times I've been totally against her doing something.  In the past,  I have supported many things she has wanted to do even tho I didn't agree with them.  But in my eyes, this is like Peyton Manning quitting his job with Denver  to go play high school football quarterback.

As we saw 2014 end, the WTA released the final rankings for the year.  Natalie's finished ranked 901 in singles and 282 in doubles.  Her career singles win/loss is 47-47 thus far.  And her doubles win/loss is 70-52.  Not bad considering she was out on injury for half the year.  Guess time will tell if she really plans to finish what she started or just hobble away.

On a side note, Nana is doing well considering the fall she had.  She is still pretty bruised from the side of her head down to her shoulder.  As for me, still not over the bug yet, but I did get to see the doc for meds.  And for those of you I spoke to about a job, that's on hold now since there is no longer anyone going to be here to rotate Nana duty with.

Well my friends, 2015 is stinking already....can only go up right?  Trust me, I won't hold my breath!  Love and Blessings....Sherry!
