Update for the last two days!

Update for the last two days!  Tuesday started out with us loading up the car for a hotel change.  And then off to the courts for practice, dubs match and a clinic.  Natalie and Jackie faced Kelhorn and Turner in the first round of the main draw of doubles.  The opponents are two lovely ladies with contagious smiles and fierce competitors.  However, "our team's" double experience was the difference for the match.  Winning it 6-1, 6-0.

After which, I made quick jaunt to a local store for a footlong.  Nat and Jac ate as the prepared to help run a tennis clinic for the club members.  It is always fun for them to get to know the members and give back to their sport.  Following the clinic we were treated to some terrific yummy treats and away we went to our new hotel.

Well, almost.....first we had to stop to fix a flat tire.  Natalie and I were able to get the spare out, "jack up" the car but not get the lug nuts off.  They were just too tight.  So, another call to AAA for the week.  They arrived within ten minutes, which at 8:30 p.m. after a very long day.....was like finding the Holy Grail.

Upon our 9:30 p.m. arrival at our new hotel it was unloading and laundry to fill the remainder of our day.  OOOhhhh and a pizza for dinner.  Natalie was out cold by 10:30, while I battled my eyelids till the laundry was done.

Yesterday, we were able to sleep in....or should I say Natalie was able to do so.  I was on the quest for a new tire.  Natalie hitched a ride to the tennis club for practiced while I "tired" and "gassed" up.  Picking her up from practice she showered up and we were off to meet my brother Ben and his wife Nancy for dinner.  They came to Florida for the National Championship and Orange Bowl.  We enjoyed catching up with them and dinner.  Returning from Bradenton around 9:00 p.m., we found ourselves in bed and sleeping before 9:15.

Today, Natalie and Jackie (tournament ranked 401) will face the number one seeded team.  They are Kristina Barreis and Ranta Voracova (tournament ranked 148).  Don't know either of these players so can't really comment on what to expect.  So, I will go watch the lil yellow bouncing ball and report back to you.....Love and Blessings....Sherry
