Must start by sending prayers to those affected by the recent storms. Hopefully, everyone is safe and sound! Also, sending prayers to those involved with the recent shooting here in Atlanta at FedEx.
Natalie played first on today. Although the score doesn't reflect it, the match was tight and competitive. However, Nat was not the victor and lost 2-6, 1-6. Bringing her singles competition at this tourney to an end.
Tomorrow, our team of Natalie and Nicole will play not before 7:30 p.m. That means they are the featured doubles match for the evening. Which if I had to guess, will be on live video feed and live scoring. As soon as I find out for sure, I will let you know.
No matter how hard I'm trying to getting ready to leave town, seems God has different plans. Today, I went to visit with our Nana and at the end of our 5 hour visit .....was more discouraged then ever. Found out that tomorrow is day 20 of the allowable 20 days that Medicare allows. Now, we can pay $152 co pay PER DAY for Nana to stay there. Exactly where does the White House think the elderly are going to get the funds to pay for rehab. Isn't that why my mom and others like paid into Medicare their entire working careers.....and ....now she needs it and nope.....still have to pay more. And yet people that haven't paid a dime in taxes nor worked a day in their lives.....get every thing for free. The White House and both sides of the isle should be ashamed of themselves! Buying votes at the expense of our elderly!
So, yes....now I'm in a panic! For now I have to make arrangements with home health care and our family members to "cover" the days with Nana while I'm in France. Of which I had already done prior to her going to hospital, but then cancelled due to her going to rehab cuz they told me she would be there six weeks.....NOT!
To help make lemonade from this misery the medical profession continues to place upon us....I will educate. Please know, that if someone goes into rehab and are on Medicare. They only have 20 days at 100% coverage. On day 21, they are either discharged or can pay 20% and Medicare 80%. But all of this hinges on progress, if the person isn't making enough progress they are discharged. Isn't this ridiculous.....instead of the patient staying longer to work on progress....nope....kick em out!
Well, hopefully I will head to Florida at some point soon. Until then....Love and Blessings....Sherry!
