And tomorrow's schedule has finally been released. Natalie and Jac will play not before one o'clock on court six. There will be live scores on the WTA website or phone application. Please refer to links in prior blog.
We spent most of today at the courts. Natalie and Jac practiced twice. We all watched matches, which was fun. One can get used to the special treatment players get at this level event. From manicures to a on site chef to cook for us. And let's not forget to mention the covenant player goodie bag.
While Nat practiced, I was able to watch a bit of Mallory Burdette's match. The neon colored dress looked nice on her. Was very proud of her effort, although she came up short. She is one of the best ball strikers the USA has, she will go far in the world of tennis. With the tourney being at Stanford we thought for sure the crowd would be behind Mal, but it seemed the opposite (well, except for me and some others). Guess because her opponent Schiavone has played here often, the home town crowd has a soft spot for her. Mal did represented herself and the Cardinal Red well! Congrats Mal!
Sure hope Mal tired out Schiavone for us, since she is one of Nat's opponents for tomorrow. What a great player and legend. I'm so very happy she will be on the other side of the net, what a great opponent for Nat's first WTA dubs event. Exciting!
The eyes are heavy and need rest ....sooooo....until that lil yellow ball begins to bounce on court six of the Bank West Tourney.......Love and Blessings....Sherry!
