By the looks of the opponents, they were very intimidated by Natalie and Brooke, and our ladies used it to their advantage. Our team took complete control of the match both with their ground strokes and their volleys. The high level of tennis that Natalie and Brooke were playing was untouchable. Altogether, it was a great doubles match to watch and the ladies looked like they were having fun.
After the match Natalie got the chance to meet and catch up with her college friend's grandmother, Sharon, who stopped by to watch her play. We appreciated Sharon taking the time out of her day coming to watch Natalie and stopping by and introducing herself to us.
Tonight, Natalie will be attending a doubles clinic with the other professionals and they will have the opportunity to teach and explain doubles strategy to the club members here in Evansville. Should be a lot of fun!
Tomorrow Natalie and Brooke will be third on after 10, so code for 1ish, and will be facing off against Trelsie Sadler (USA) and Caitlin Whoriskey (USA) in the semi-final match. Some of you may remember that Whoriskey was Nat's dubs partner in college.
Till next time...
