Tough morning yesterday. Natalie woke up with bad congestion and a deep cough, and it only got worse as the day went on. After scattered showers and lots of waiting, the girls half of the tournament was to be played indoors and boys outdoors. There was no movement of air throughout this building and it retained any and all humidity from outside. During Natalie's match she was coughing and wheezing. She was hitting the ball well, but didn't have it in her to finish. Natalie lost in two sets 6-2, 6-0.
Following the match, Natalie was still dizzy and seeing "stars"due to the lack of oxygen. So, the trainer took a look at her and the doctor. They suggested over the counter items for a few days and if that didn't help they would prescribe a zpack (sp?). Worried, Sherry wasn't have it, and she went an different route and got a zpack prescription. We made our way through Lexington to find a pharmacy for that much needed medicine. We also grabbed a late lunch and headed back to the courts for another Pro Am event. There were almost 30 pro's, both men and women, playing doubles matches with the members. It was fun to see the playful competition after such an exhausting day.
Natalie is staying with her host family tonight, and they were kind enough to offer Sherry and me their home as well, so we are excited and thankful for their hospitality. Even gave them some peach salsa to try!

Draws for the women's doubles are still not posted but will be tomorrow. Time for Nat to rest up and prepare for that.
Till next time...
