Good gloomy morning folks! Truth be told, the lil yellow ball is wwwaaaayyyy to soggy to bounce. It has rained all week, and 12-15 inches are expected in the next 24 hours. We are trying to decide to evacuate or not. For this is a "life threatening" situation. They are expecting the worst flooding since Hugo. They just announced on the TV, to charge your mobile devices.
As of this moment, the tourney has not been cancelled. I just checked the site, still posted to start at 9:00. Even tho, the rain is pouring and I mean POURING! Unfortunately, Natalie and Caroline will not get the 2 points nor the $24.20 that they have earned thus far. Salt to the wound. YES....I said $24.20 is the prize money they have won. But if you deduct the $20 registration fee, their check would be $4.20 if the first round was completed.
Unfortunately, the tourney didn't start the matches at 8 or 9 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. If they had, most of the matches would have been played. Guess that's what happens when you have inexperienced Supervisors, instead of the amazing Missy, Bunny, Dessie or Billie. Yes, that was a compliment to the ladies that have spent a lifetime perfecting what they do for the players.
