Fingers crossed that at least two doubles matches get played today. If those matches don't get completed, none of the points will be awarded to the teams that have played. You see a complete round has to be played for anyone in that round to get their points. Since our team won their match, we want or should I say NEED the points. Fingers crossed....yet again! LOL
The other evening we were able to catch up with some "old" friends. A very yummy dinner was prepared for us by Meg, her mom Naoko and dad Rick. Maybe her boyfriend Dave was involved too. We spent the evening catching up with what they are doing now. But the highlight of the evening had to be reminiscing about the junior tour and the players on it. Was so very awesome to find out what happened to some of the players and where they are today.
My heart was touch when Rick brought up me giving him a lil pep talk back then. It was the day the Air Force Academy tennis coach came to watch Meg. At the time, I was working at our local high school. And part of my job was working with the seniors and their college stuff. So, I sat down with Rick and encouraged him to "push" Meg in that direction. Over dinner, Rick brought that convo up and thanked me for it. A very special moment indeed. For we had the privilege of listening to some of Meg's many accomplishments since her enlistment. She is currently serving our country and is a Lieutenant. Hoping to become a Captain in the spring. An amazing young lady doing big things!
Gosh, what an awesome evening we had! Here is a pic from the evening, Natalie and Meg:
Time to pay bills, and see if the lil yellow ball started to bounce at 9:30 or not. Love and Blessings.....Sherry!
