And Another $49....yip peeeeeee! LOL!

Hellooooo from a sunny and warm Hilton Head!  How good it feels!  I would say the weather today was perfect as if we were in San Diego.  An amazing change from the past eight days.  Let's hope this trend continues!

We had a late start to our day, not having to be at the court until 11:30 a.m.  One could get used to this "doubles only" life.  Natalie practiced a couple of times prior to match time.  Sporting another outfit from her L'Etoile Sport collection Nat made her way to the match court at 2:00 p.m.  Our team struggled with simple strokes in the first set.  Losing it 3-6.  But definitely found their groove in the second set.  Winning it 6-4.  Having to play a tie breaker in lieu of a third set, we were down 0-2.  Then we turned it on and never lost the lead.  Although Natalie and Caroline faultered a couple of times, they stuck it out.  Winning the breaker 10-7.  A great thing.....ranking points for Natalie....WOOT!  Exciting indeed!  And another $49....yip peeee!   LOL!

Our team will play in the quarters tomorrow.  Their opponents watched today's match in its entirety.  The opponents are Madaleine Kobelt (USA) and Nika Kukharchuk (RUS), the 2nd seeds.  Kobelt played at Syracuse and graduated a couple of years ago.  And Natalie played Nika couple of years ago in Gainesville.  Some of you may remember the epic match with the horrible chair umpire.  The umpire that both Natalie and Nika were over ruling with the correct calls.  Anyway.....both opponents are very sweet ladies and solid tennis players.  The match should be good doubles on both sides of the net.

Natalie and Caroline will play on Centre Court tomorrow.  The are third on.  Which of course is code for 12:30-1:00ish.  Please follow the link in my last blog if you wish to watch the live scoring.  Here are a few pics from today's match:

Must say it was fun to sit in the sun and watch the lil yellow ball bounce.  Excited to see it again tomorrow.....until then....Love and Blessings.....Sherry!
