Day 7

....yawning......Good Morning!

Day 7 and the heat and number of days on the road are catching up with us.  Thank goodness we have a late start today and Natalie can sleep in for a while.  And of course I can get caught up on the blog and paperwork.  Although after my lil mix up with renting a car, have to make a note to self not to do so at 1 a.m.  In order to exchange our car for a cheaper (not available upon our arrival), I booked one to pick up last night.....too bad I did so with the wrong car rental agency.  Which thanks to Nat we realized upon loading up to make the trek for pick up.  So a mad dash back to the computer was in order to cancel that one and reserve one with the correct agency.   Yes, I need sleep!

Yesterday, we saw Nat's quest for the singles title come to an end.  Playing Rampre and losing 3-6, 1-6.  Natalie went down 0-2 in the first, before turning it on and winning three games in a row.  A good battle ensued for the end of the set.  Then the net became Nat's friend.  She and it played catch for the majority of the second set.  Which reminded me of one of her great coaches, Rick who would always say "the net is NOT your friend".

After waiting most of the second on matches to finish three sets, our doubles was switched to an available court.  Natalie and Jackie owned the net and the match winning 6-3, 6-0.  That win moving them into the semi final against Fatma Al Nabhani (OMA) and Kari Wong (USA).  The opponents are tourney ranked 899.  Our third seeded team is tourney ranked 368.

The doubles semi final match will be played today.  The ladies will take court third on after 10....which of course is code for 3ish.  Hopefully, a cool wave will come through and it will only be 93 degrees by match time.    HAHAHAHAHH   yea right!

The lil yellow ball will bounce and I'll be there for you....until then....Love and Blessings....Sherry!
