Finals

Although today didn't go exactly how we would have liked, Natalie has had great results this week.  We are so very proud of her and her efforts.  The match was played indoors.  Natalie had a chance to make it 4 all in the first after being down 2-3, and didn't convert.  Eventually, losing the first set.  Although the score of the second set was 0-6, it doesn't reflect what great tennis it was.  Natalie gave it a great effort today and came up a lil short.  Congrats to Kleybanova who has overcome majors odd to get back on the court.  And Congrats to her very well earned win today!  Look out world....she'sssss bbaaaccccckkkk!

I'm hoping to be getting pictures from today, when I do they will get posted.  Natalie was excited when she called me after the match.  Koser Jewelers were the sponsors of this tourney and they gave Natalie and Alisa jewelry as part of their winnings.  Natalie received a check, Pandora necklace and a box of chocolates.  She was very excited indeed, I'm looking forward to the pictures.

Tonight, Nat was invited by the host family to attend a party.  Rumor has it, a certain host mom is trying to play cupid.....but I could have my inside info wrong.  But I'm glad they will enjoy a party tonight, a good break.

Our gal will be flying home tomorrow, now I have to figure out how to get her suitcase home.  I was able to book a flight to Birmingham that lays over in Atlanta for a great price.  So, I tried to call the airlines to see if her suitcase can be released in Atlanta.  The current hold time is from 2 1/2 - 3 hours, or they can call you back in that time frame.  So, I'm waiting.   Otherwise she will ship it before she heads to the airport tomorrow morning.  Then instead of changing planes in the ATL....she will jump in the car and head home.  Which of course she is eager to do!

As for the next tournaments, Natalie will fly out next weekend to El Paso.  She will play two 25K tourneys back to back.  The second one is in Las Cruces, NM.  Such a beautiful part of the country,  I'm looking forward to seeing it as well as Donna, Nicole and Charlie!

After those two tournaments Nat will be home for a few weeks to train.  And to figure out how to fundraise for a trip to Europe in the summer.   If you have any flyer miles you would like to donate just email her at npluskota@hotmail.com    Thanks!
