Tweener Report

Just hung up with "our" gal, was beginning to wonder if she fell of the face of the earth.  At 1:45 p.m. today, she texted me to say they would be going on the dubs court shortly.  That they were moving indoors and as soon as the match before hers finished they would be going on.  I finally texted her at 5:30 and again at 6:30....no reply.  At about 7:40....she finally put me out of my misery and texted back.  I guess the tennis center is a cell phone "dead zone", therefore your phone battery is drained quickly.  Right after the match a starving tennis star needed to eat stat....then to the host home and a battery charger.

Anyway.....Natalie and Emily won their dubs match 6-0, 6-3.  And now advance to the quarterfinals to face Michele Sammons (RSA) and Nika Kukharchuk (RUS), tourney ranked 1904.  Natalie has faced faced this team with another partner, and was the victor.  Michele and Nika are very nice players and young ladies.  Some of you may remember the singles match in Gainesville, the one with the newbee chair umpire.  Nika was Nat's opponent for that match and they handled the situation like the top pro athletes that they are.

Now for singles, Natalie won her match today 6-0, 6-3.  Here is a bit of the text I received post match, "I just won.  Hit a tweener on match point.  HAHAH I'll call in a bit".  That's my gal!

Tomorrow Nat will play a qualifier by the name of Alex Graham (USA).  This will be the 5th match for Alex and the second for Natalie.  Hopefully, that will sway the odds in our favor and not the opposite.....a quali roller.  Singles will be played second on after 9 a.m.....code for 11ish.  And dubs will be on stadium court....fourth on after 9 a.m. ....code for 2ish.

Had the stitches removed yesterday and start PT tomorrow.  Moving along, slowly but moving along.  As soon as I get a report concerning the lil yellow bouncing ball tomorrow....I will get back to you.....Love and Blessings.....Sherry!
