Bonjour y'all! Hope your Mother's Day has been awesome! The day started cold and rainy, but the drops dried up and a rearranging of schedules got the balls bouncing. Today was a productive practice day from Natalie has told me. I stayed much of the day in the room, trying to figure out how to lighten our load.
However, did head to the courts for Nat's second practice session. Which was followed by dinner at the courts. A very yummy dinner indeed. And good company, Allie her mom Mary and grandma June. As well as Nicole Gibbs. We shared many pictures and giggles. A very enjoyable time with these ladies.
The doubles draw was released around 6:30 p.m. Much later then our supervisors in the states typical release it. Anyway, Natalie and Allie are tourney ranked 430, just missed seeding. Their opponents are Constance Sibile (FRA) and Yi-Fan XU (CHN), tourney ranked 666. Hope that's not an omen! Sorry, I digressed. The ladies will play their first round in the main tomorrow, around 3 o'clockish France time.....which is time change code for 10ish a.m.....Georgia time.
