Hallo, from Germany....yes...I said German! We arrived a short time ago. Found out at 12:01 p.m. that Natalie and Melichar were accepted into the main draw of doubles in Nuremburg, Germany. At 12:02 we were out of the door of our hotel. By 12:15 we were checked out and in our courtesy car to the train station. By 1:45, we were on our way to Germany.
Ok....I'm sure some of you may be asking....WHY....why are we trekking to Germany??? The tourney here is a WTA...$250K. As long as Natalie is in a draw, the tourney pays for our hotel room. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Money is earned in every round, win or lose. And most importantly, ranking points.....the points to win per round are very high. So, there are some of the reasons we scooted over to Germany today.
So, now...do you want to know who they play??? Of course you do! First of all, they will play tomorrow around elevenish....Georgia time. Second of all, they will play the ONE seeds....yay us! The opponents are fellow Americans Huber & Raymond. The match will be on centre court.
