Winners and Baths

Bonjour Y'all!  The day started sunny and ALMOST warm.  But while we waited for Natalie's court to free up, the skies closed in on us.  With our team taking the court and up 2-1, the skies unleashed a gentle annoying cold drizzle.  The players continue through the rain, as we the spectators went for cover.   Not really able to see the match, so can't give many details....except.....we won the first 7-5.  Were down 3-4 in the second and just couldn't find the court, losing it 4-6.  Played a breaker in lieu of the third set.  Starting the breaker strong going up straight away and never looking back....10-4.  Winner....winner.....chicken dinner!

Natalie and Allie played well together.  Like any other time Nat plays with someone for the first time, they have to learn each other's habits.  But they adjusted quickly and their communication stayed positive and clear.  Good solid first time pairing, they seem to enjoy themselves.  Their next match of dubs will be Wednesday.  Therefore, our gal has tomorrow off.....well .....except for practice.

We will head to the train station early tomorrow morning.  Heading to Lourdes, France.  Which is a very sacred Holy Ground.  It is said that Bernadette, saw the Blessed Virgin Mary's apparition 18 times at the Grotto of Lourdes.  Many make the pilgrimage yearly to bathe in the non holy water which is said to have healing powers.  We are hoping to bathe tomorrow and learn more about this most sacred Holy Ground.  A side note.....a friend of mine had visited Lourdes the year of my wedding and brought me Holy Water.  Which I used at my wedding, as well as on the sick throughout the years.  I still have some of it left in my curio cabinet, very special to me indeed.  So this visit to Lourdes has many special meanings for us.  Here is a link to the official website of Lourdes:

Well, see you on the flip side of our baths......Love and Blessings.....Sherry!
