Really kinda disheartening to have to write about this next subject. But now that we have been touched by it, I really have no choice but to try to inform and try to make a positive out of it. It seems that gambling on tennis ....yes.....I said on tennis.....has taken on a life of its own overseas. Unfortunately, it has brought with it sleaze bags that bet on a match and lose.....making them loser sleaze bags....out of the wood work. Let me try to explain.
These loser sleaze bags lose money and then reach out to players via social media. And when they do, they are not nice. Their tawdry messages range from calling players every name in the book to threats on their lives. As if the world of tennis isn't stressful enough with player trying to find the funds to stay on tour, traveling all over, training, etc......now this.
Although, I think the tennis organizations are doing everything they can think of to protect the players, it is still un nerving and down right scary. To think these crazy sleaze bags can show up at any tourney and you don't even know who they are.
And YES.....someone has reached out to Natalie in this manner. We will report it and hopefully they will be dealt with. This is yet one more reason I continue to travel with Natalie as much as I can, her safety. Cuz I can guarantee that there is NO fury like the fury created by a mom protecting her daughter. So be aware sleaze bag scum.....I'm watching for you and your kind! No....that is not a threat....its a promise that I will protect my daughter! Thank you....that is all!
